Description:Exceptionally large crystals of lustrous black babingtonite (Mass. State Mineral) on contrasting matrix of white calcite. Superb specimen - no damage. Collected at the quarry in June, 1940. Ex. Earle C. Sullivan (1906-2005), author of History and Minerals of Old Mine Park, Trumbull, Ct.
