Locality:Monolith Quarry, Albany County, Wyoming
Description:Brownish calcite pseudomorphs after hexagonal aragonite crystals up to 24 mm across. The calcite replaced the aragonite molecule by molecule, resulting in transformed composition but retaining the original shape. Ex. A. Stevenson collection #768
