Locality:Tsumeb Mine, Otavi-Bergland District, Oshikoto, Namibia
Description:Showy specimen of green dioptase crystals up to 2.5 mm on matrix of colorless calcite crystals up to 1 mm in a hemispherical formation. The contrast of the green dioptase on the white calcite is very attractive. The dioptase is translucent and lustrous. Ex. Earle C. Sullivan (1906-2005), author of History and Minerals of Old Mine Park, Trumbull, Ct.
