Mineral:Fluorite with Calcite and Sphalerite
Locality:Rosiclare District, Hardin County, Illinois
Description:Crust of colorless fluorite 2 cm thick over matrix. The face of the fluorite is terminated with purple fluorite up to 25 mm on edge. Scattered over the fluorite are small black sphalerite crystals and colorless calcite crystals. Ex. Earle C. Sullivan (1906-2005), author of History and Minerals of Old Mine Park, Trumbull, Ct.
