Mineral:Calcite on Amethyst Quartz
Locality:Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil
Description:Plate of light purple amethyst quartz crystals up to 15 mm long. Centered on the amethyst is are two large (twinned?) calcite crystals, 3 and 4 cm each. The calcite is pale yellow and has a surface coating of drusy quartz. No damage.
Overall Size:12x6x6 cm
Crystals:5-40 mm
