Mineral:Dravite-Schorl Tourmaline
Locality:Tourmaline Prospect 100 m. west of Biermann Quarry, Bethel, Fairfield County, Connecticut
Description:Rare matrix specimen of large doubly-terminated black dravite-schorl (testing is required) crystal nicely exposed on the top of biotite-rich matrix. The tourmaline has striated prism faces and three-faced pyramidal terminations. Personally collected in 1993
