Description: | Very showy specimen of red calcite crystals overgrown on colorless calcite. The red color is due to hematite inclusions. There are two crystal forms, large complex scalenohedral crystals to 6 cm and later-growth smaller rhombic crystals averaging 3-4 mm. Ex. Lipman calcite collection |
