Locality:Biedell Creek Quartz Prospects, Crystal Hill, 12.5 km northwest of La Garita, Saguache County, Colorado
Description:Single crystal of amethyst quartz with unusual trigonal shape and three-faced termination. The upper half of the crystals is transparent purple, the bottom half is translucent, milky color. This quartz outcrop was completely excavated by open pit mining ca. 1983
