Locality:Kunar, Afghanistan
Description:Gem nodule of translucent elbaite tourmaline with outer green layer surrounding a pink center giving the watermelon name. The crystal pocket ruptured during formation, breaking the crystal, then the surfaces continued to grow smoothing the nodule.
