Mineral:Goethite pseudomorph after Pyrite
Locality:Breckenridge, Summit County, Colorado
Description:Large, well defined goethite pseudomorph after a 25 mm pyrite crystal. On the bottom, where it was attached to surrounding rock, bright pyrite is visible where the crystal is unaltered. Surface striations distinctly visible.
