Mineral:Fluorite with Marcasite inclusions
Locality:Cave-in-Rock District, Hardin County, Illinois
Description:Cubic crystals of purple fluorite with 1 mm chalcopyrite inclusions just beneath the surface. Surprisingly, this specimen is almost completely undamaged (specimens were taken from the mines in miner's lunchboxes, frequently damaged). Purchased in 1976. Ex. Ben Clement
