Locality:Sedalia Mine, Salida, Chaffee County, Colorado
Description:Dodecahedral almandine garnet crystal without matrix. Partial coating of greenish chlorite in some areas. From the classic locality that produced crystals up to 15 cm. This crystal has exaggerated cubic faces making the underlying cubic form apparent. Ex. Westtown School (West Chester, Pa.) Collection no. 7165 (ca. 1880).
