Locality:Missouri River gravel bar, Lewis and Clark County, Montana
Description:Six-sided crystal of translucent sapphire with rounded edges due to alluvial action. Color varies from blue-green-gray to deeper blue in the center. Good, large crystal recovered from the gem-bearing deposits of the ancient river.
