Description: | Two parallel crystals of orthoclase 7 cm long with glassy crystals of dark smoky quartz up to 4.5 cm grown between. All surfaces are clean and undamaged. Original museum catalog card accompanies the specimen showing it was originally acquired in 1911. Ex. Bally Museum-Stiftung (founded in 1858 in Schönenwerd, Switzerland) #5711 acquired in 1911 |
