Description: | Translucent, red-brown axinite crystals on white calcite matrix. Clean and undamaged. Sensel purchased the specimen from D. Blauwet in 1997 for $550 and reported it was the 3rd best of the find (1st went to Smithsonian). Ex. Dr. Eugene E. Sensel (1911-2000) collection #M1126 |
