Mineral:Fluorite with Hydrocarbon inclusions
Locality:Cave-in-Rock District, Hardin County, Illinois
Description:Transparent crystals of purple fluorite up to 9 mm on matrix with calcite. Included within the fluorite are spherical bubbles of natural hydrocarbon (oil). These inclusions fluoresce under UV illumination.
Overall Size:9x5x4 cm
Crystals:2-9 mm
