Mineral:Calcite with Aragonite
Locality:Charcas District, San Luis Potosi, Mexico
Description:Odd-shaped crystals of calcite in two intersecting planes with rounded, white aragonite overgrown on parts of the calcite. The calcite varies from transparent to white to orange. The aragonite fluoresces bright green under UV illumination. Ex. Joseph D'Agostino (1904-1988) collection 25GL
