Description:Large plate of octahedral magnetite crystals in greenish diabase matrix. This specimen is from the old quarry just over the river from New York City (the NJ Turnpike cuts through the east edge of the hill). Some damage. Ex. L. Russianoff collection; ex. J. Reasenberg
