Mineral:Fluorite (twinned crystals) with Siderite
Locality:Boltsburn Mine, Rookhope, County Durham, England
Description:Twinned crystals of purple fluorite up to 4 cm with minor overgrowth of brown siderite crystals up to 2 mm. The center portion is internally flawless (facet-grade). Fluoresces bright violet under UV illumination. Acquired ca. 1970. Some edge chipping. Ex. L. Russianoff collection
