Mineral:Galena on Dolomite
Locality:Treece, Cherokee County, Kansas
Description:Gray crystals of galena up to 20 mm on pink dolomite matrix. Scattered throughout are translucent, red sphalerite crystals up to 1 mm. The surface luster on the galena is dull, indicating high lead content due to tarnishing. Ex. L. Russianoff collection
