Mineral:Sphalerite (Spinel-law twinned crystals) with Quartz
Locality:Huaron District, Cerro de Pasco Province, Pasco Department, Peru
Description:Dark complex crystals of sphalerite with colorless quartz crystals on one side. The sphalerite is lustrous with striated surfaces the result of twinning. Several large crystals show reentrant angle faces indicative of Spinel-law twinning.
Overall Size:5x4x2.5 cm
Crystals:5-20 mm
