Mineral:Sphalerite (Spinel-law twinned crystals) with Calcite
Locality:Huaron District, Cerro de Pasco Province, Pasco Department, Peru
Description:Elongated colorless calcite crystals up to 10 mm long on matrix of lustrous, black sphalerite crystals. The sphalerite is complexly twinned following the spinel-law resulting in deep surface striations.
Overall Size:4.5x3.5x2 cm
