Mineral:Uralite (amphibole pseudomorphs after a clinopyroxene)
Locality:Alexandria Bay, Jefferson County, New York
Description:Long dark green blocky uralite crystals (hornblende altered from pyroxene) to 3 cm long in quartz matrix. There is a single white calcite (?) nestled in between the uralites on one side. Collected many years ago by a well known field collector. Ex. Floyd Faux
