Locality: | Tri-State Lead-Zinc Mining District, near Joplin, Jasper County, Missouri |
Description: | Complex cluster of dark red-brown sphalerite crystals, many in parallel orientation. The smaller crystals, near the edges, are seen to be translucent yellow-red when rear-illuminated. Good specimen with very little scuffing (common on these specimens). Ex. A. Lincoln Sherk II, MD. (1896-1970) |
