Mineral:Muscovite var. Rose Muscovite with Allanite-(Ce)
Locality:Harding Mine, 8 km east of Dixon, Taos County, New Mexico
Description:Colorful specimen of purple-pink rose muscovite (often misidentified as lepidolite) with 1 mm crystals of black allanite-(Ce) scattered throughout. The cerium in the allanite cause the specimen to be slightly radioactive.
