Description: | Translucent red-brown sphalerite crystals on dolostone with microscopic yellow-metallic chalcopyrite microcrystals that give the sphalerite crystals a sandy appearance. The sphalerite crystals exhibit translucency when rear-illuminated. Ex. A. Lincoln Sherk II, MD. (1896-1970) |
