Mineral:Chamosite on Smoky Quartz
Locality:Millington Quarry, Bernards Township, Somerset County, New Jersey
Description:Pocket in basalt matrix lined with smoky quartz crystals up to 8 mm with overgrowth on the quartz of hemispherical black chamosite up to .2 mm. There is a slim chance that it is not chamosite, but goethite instead, but one sample tested as chamosite.
Overall Size:9x9x6 cm
Crystals:.1-8 mm
