Mineral:Quartz var. Amethyst pseudomorph after Anhydrite
Locality:Catalan Agate-Amethyst District, Souther Paraná Basalt Basin, Artigas, Uruguay
Description:Thin formation of purple amethyst crystals that crystallized over an elongated anhydrite crystal. The anhydrite dissolved away naturally, leaving the formation hollow (visible from the rear). Mounted to acrylic base (will remove upon request).
Overall Size:13x3x2.5 cm
Crystals:5-10 mm
