Locality:Pine Creek Mine, 29 km west of Bishop, Inyo County, California
Description:Elongated laumontite crystal partially overgrown with stilbite microcrystals. The golden color is due to urethane coating applied 30 years ago to prevent degradation due to the laumontite dehydrating. Could be soaked off in acetone.
