Mineral:Fluorite with Bitumen
Locality:Cave-in-Rock District, Hardin County, Illinois
Description:Large plate of transparent yellow fluorite crystals with partial coating of black bitumen (naturally occurring petroleum). Large specimen in good condition - only one crystal has a cleaved corner. The bitumen can be removed with solvents.
Overall Size:21x19x6 cm
