Mineral:Galena with Pyrite and Sphalerite
Locality:Tri-State Lead-Zinc Mining District, near Joplin, Jasper County, Missouri
Description:Large plate covered with gray metallic galena crystals up to 18 mm with sugary coating of yellow metallic pyrite microcrystals and red-brown sphalerite crystals up to 8 mm. Very clean with no apparent damage.
