Mineral:Fluorite with Siderite
Locality:(Boltsburn Mine), Rookhope, County Durham, England
Description:Plate of transparent yellow fluorite crystals up to 18 mm across with partial overgrowth of brown siderite crystals up to 5 mm. The siderite over fluorite is typical of the Boltsburn Mine. The fluorite fluoresces violet under UV illumination. Ex. Dr. Eugene E. Sensel (1911-2000) collection #M597; ex. Lee Areson collection
