Mineral:Grossular var. Tsavorite Garnet
Locality:Merelani Hills, near Arusha, Tanzania
Description:Gemmy 5.12 ct. crystal of deep-green grossular garnet, variety tsavorite. The green color found in tsavorite is due to high chromium and vanadium content. This crystal is nearly complete and has excellent color.
