Mineral:Beryl var. Bixbite
Locality:Wah Wah Mountains, Utah
Description:Single crystal of red beryl, variety bixbite in white rhyolite matrix. The red beryl crystal formed first, then was broken in two, with the rhyolite freezing the two parts separated by 1.5 mm. No damage.
Overall Size:5x4x3 cm
Crystals:7 mm
