Locality:Las Animas, Bent County, Colorado
Description:Large calcite pseudomorphs after pseudo-hexagonal aragonite crystals up to 7 cm. This is a good, large specimen for this classic locality. Areas have red-brown limonite stains from the clay beds that it formed in.
