Locality:York Stone Quarry, York County, Pennsylvania
Description:Transparent crystals of pale-brown calcite, many exhibiting twinning. The twin planes are difficult to show in photographs but are easily seen in person. The calcite was cleaned in a weak acid to remove the limonite stain on the surface.
