Locality:Upper New Street Quarry, Paterson, Passaic County, New Jersey
Description:Large specimen of light purple amethyst quartz with rhombic cavities (pseudomorphs) after anhydrite crystals. The cavities are in a radiating pattern (as seen from the rear). Classic formation the subject of: Crystal Cavities of NJ Region (1932).
