Mineral:Andradite Garnet
Locality:Arati Mine, Xi Jiang, China
Description:Large crystal of wine-red andradite (grossular?) garnet with remnants of white calcite on the bottom. The garnet is lustrous and partially translucent. This is the only specimen I saw of it's type or locality while buying in Tucson this year.
