Locality:Prospect Park Quarry, Prospect Park, Passaic County, New Jersey
Description:Plate of purple amethyst quartz with many rectangular cavities up to 20 mm where the quartz formed over anhydrite that subsequently dissolved away. The casts extend completely through. See Schaller's book: Crystal Cavities of the New Jersey (1932).
