Description:Sparkling green dioptase crystals coating one face of gossan matrix from the early days at the famous Morenci Mine, once the largest copper producer in the US. The dioptase crystals are lustrous, transparent and intensely colored. Ex. John A. Rorer, Jr. collection #240; purchased in 1948; collected pre-WWII
