Mineral:Fluorite, Calcite Bitumen
Locality:Minerva #1 Mine, Cave-in-Rock District, Hardin County, Illinois
Description:Translucent yellow fluorite crystals up to 40 mm with scattered white calcite crystals to 4 mm. Some of the fluorite has black bitumen (petroleum) coating and internal inclusions (fluorescent). Second generation blue fluorite is on some edges. Chipped.
