Mineral:Copper pseudomorphs after Aragonite
Locality:Corocoro District, Pacajes Province, Bolivia
Description:Metallic copper pseudomorphs after aragonite crystals up to 25 mm across. The copper is a thin layer that started to replace the aragonite atom by atom. Some corners have the white aragonite exposed and show the copper extends into the crystals. Ex. Scott Williams; ex. Hamel Mining (Los Angeles, Ca.)
