Mineral:Corundum var. Sapphire
Locality:Deer Lodge County, Montana
Description:Three flawless crystals of greenish-blue sapphire. The surfaces are rounded due to alluvial wear, but they are internally flawless. Probably collected in 1895 at Cottonwood Creek by Maynard Bixby (see the Mineral Collector, Jan. 1896). Not heat treated! Ex. John A. Manley (1861-1936) ca. 1896
