Mineral:Almandine Garnet
Locality:Pfitschtal, Southern Tyrol, Italy
Description:Large single crystal of red-brown almandine garnet with greenish muscovite matrix. The garnet is complete all around except for a missing corner on the rear. Though labeled as from Pfitschtal, it matches those from Oetztal, also in the Tyrol. Ex. John A. Manley (1861-1936) ca. 1890s
