Description: | Several dark brown staurolite frozen in silvery mica schist matrix. The staurolite crystals have been exposed by abrading the softer matrix. Byron is known for staurolite, but less represented in Maine collections. Ex. John A. Manley (1861-1936) ca. 1890s |
