Locality:Tri-State Lead-Zinc Mining District, near Joplin, Jasper County, Missouri
Description:Single red-brown sphalerite crystal 40 mm long with brassy metallic chalcopyrite crystals up to 4 mm on the surface. The chalcopyrite crystals are in parallel orientation because they grew in epitaxial orientation to the underlying sphalerite.
