Mineral:Vesuvianite with Grossular Garnet
Locality:Sierra de Cruces, east of Laguna de Jaco, near Hercules, Coahuila, Mexico
Description:A superb large vesuvianite crystal 5 cm across with glassy crystal surfaces. The crystal form is pseudocubic with edge bevels all around. Dark purplish grossular garnet crystals up to 12 mm scattered throughout. The best I have seen from this locality.

Crystals:3-50 mm
