Mineral:Quartz pseudomorphs after Anhydrite
Locality:Silver Point Mine, Ouray County, Colorado
Description:Sharp, well defined quartz pseudomorphs after rectangular, bladed anhydrite crystals up to 30 mm. Anhydrite crystallized first, then was coated with 1 mm quartz crystals, finally the anhydrite dissolved leaving only it's shape.
