Locality:(Rist Mine), Alexander County, North Carolina
Description:Many translucent green emerald crystals (the green gem variety of the mineral beryl) embedded in quartz with black schorl tourmaline crystals. There are several good emerald crystals in the specimen, and more could be exposed with careful preparation. Ex. John Albanese (1898-1969), ex. John Albanese, Jr.
