Mineral:Corundum var. Sapphire
Locality:Central Highland Belt, near Ratnapura, Sri Lanka
Description:Doubly-terminated single crystal of pale-violet (nearly colorless) corundum with glassy crystal faces. Internally the crystal is highly transparent with several inclusions. The edges are slightly worn due to alluvial action. Ex. John Albanese, Jr.
